Downloadable Map Updates

Updating can be a tough task when you are not using Garmin GPS devices. Garmin has worked hard to make your navigation simple and easy. They have launched several devices and there updates for travel satisfaction. Garmin devices like Garmin nüvi 2789LMT 7-Inch Portable Bluetooth Vehicle GPS, Garmin Nuvi 57LM GPS Navigator System, Garmin sat nav , Garmin Chrysler , etc. For all the devices Garmin map upgrade is available.

 Garmin Chrysler map update – Streets, routes and location of favorite point of interest are constantly changing. Thus, keeping the maps in your device is of utmost importance. Map updates for Chrysler are available on yearly basis.

Steps on downloading map updates:

Note: To update the maps you will need – USB drive (8GB or higher), Computer with good internet connection, Constant power to your vehicles navigation system.

# updating Chrysler unconnect firmware

1. On your Chrysler unconnect device select Navigation>Settings>System>About. Then write the 10 digit user Id.
2. Submit the Id on the update website.
3. On your vehicle’s unconnect screen select Navigation> Settings > Map > Menu Bars > Select update map > Insert USB drive in the USB port of the vehicle > when asked to remove the USB, remove it.
4. Now, insert the USB in your computer. If your device needs an update, click on download to load the update to your USB. Now you will be asked to install a Garmin Communicator plug-in if needed.
5. If your firmware is up to date, look for map update.
6.  Remove the USB drive from your computer.
7. Insert back the USB drive into the vehicles USB port.
8. The latest Garmin map update should begin automatically.

# Maps downloading

1. Select Navigation> Settings> Map > Menu Bars> Update Map on the device.
2. Insert USB drive into the vehicles USB port.
3. When prompted remove the drive from the port.
4. Now, insert the USB drive into the computer and select continue.
5. On the order confirmation page, select download for Mac or windows.
6. Follow the steps to install Garmin map updater.

# Loading new maps

1. Insert USB drive into the vehicles port.
2. Follow instructions to transfer the map data to your device.
3. The Garmin GPS map update is complete, when you see View Map/ Where to, on the screen.
